What I Learned - Alice Through the Needle's Eye by Gilbert Adair
A genius third instalment of the beloved "Alice" stories. I loved every second of this book. It effortlessly conjures all the magic and adventure of Lewis Carroll's originals. What I Learned: Well, this quote is a little bit of a double edged sword from me. I could argue for both sides. I constantly have my nose in a book and have an "escape" with me at all times. Sometimes in the hub-bub of every day life the only thing to do is to read about things because there just isn't the time (or the funds) to physically do them in person. On the other hand if you get the opportunity to get out into the real world and have an adventure I think you should put your book down and grab it with both hands. So, in the spirit of Alice, my thinking is slightly scattered! Genius. So you need life's down (the snakes) to really appreciate the ups (the ladders). I love this analogy. I would agree tha...
