What I Learned - Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple
This is a gorgeously unpredictable quirky little gem of a book! If it's not on your reading list already add it immediately! I don't know what it says about me but I found Bernadette completely relatable from the start (without the genius architect part!). I have always found the school gate challenging, to say the least - and sometime life just get's too damned complicated! What I learned - ...this mission statement is probably what most school's aspire to, and in this time of "Curriculum for Excellence" in the UK, I have heard statements similar to this on a regular basis.
