Beef Bourguignon
A pot of this goes a long way. I freeze this into portions, and then serve with mash, or chips, or in a baked potato, with pasta, or rice, or on it's own in a bowl with some buttered crusty bread.
I picked up an interesting fruity Black Tower wine from Home Bargains for next to nothing, and I have to say it was brilliant for this recipe. The herbs came from Asda and everything else wither came straight from the cupboard or my beloved Aldi. I'm a big fan of the Knorr stock pot rather than a stock cube too for a really gorgeous flavour.
I usually pop this in the slow cooker in the morning and leave until the evening - the smells wafting through the house all day are amazing.
