This brilliant and unique memoir left me feeling all warm and fuzzy and like this author and I would be friends! This book has the added bonus of being packed with mouth-wateringly rustic recipes, as well as a detailed description of how to make goats milk soap using a Crock-Pot of all things! What I Learned: This is the moment I knew I loved this woman. Stubborn. Independent. Fiery. All sounding a little bit too familiar to me! This is always the best idea, a plan that doesn't involve anyone else so it's all on you - whatever the outcome, good or bad! I love this idea. It's almost about that sense of "belonging" somewhere I guess. I always feel like who I am gets more rooted and like the "real me" when I'm by the sea.
