The Road to Skye Day 2 Part 1
7am start this morning - was absolutely pouring - attempted a long walk with the dog but was way too wet and we were all like drowned rats within about 5 minutes so we sorted the van and headed back on the road about 8am. Just past Glengarry we pulled over because we spotted an interesting looking Cairn...this is when things got very, very strange, in fact goosebump inducing strange. I happened to call my Dad to ask him a completely unrelated question. As I was finishing up the call I mentioned we were stopped and I was about to get out to look at a cairn at the side of the road. He had no idea where I was or what I was looking at, but he proceeded to tell me the name of a man he knew and how there was a monument for him somewhere that he's never seen. I'm sitting listening thinking there's no way that's where we've stopped...finished the call and got out and I am not going to lie, I absolutely freaked out when I read the name on that monument...Willie MacRae.
