What I Learned - The Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer
Beautifully written narrative that will leave you wanting more. I loved everything about this book. Has a real ring of authenticity. What I Learned: This is such a beautiful description of loss, particularly loss of a really close family member. We often don't notice the little things that make up every day life until they are no longer there. Maybe we need to pay more attention to these things as these are the things that really matter, and that we will reminisce about in our old age. Do everything in your power to never let this happen. In fact do everything in your power to never let this happen to the people around you that you care about either. Go after everything you can in life. Embrace every opportunity. These are the moments we don't notice at the time, but that we look back on with fondness. The things that really counted. The things that defined us, made us who we are. Pay attention to the dots.
