The Road to Skye Day 3 Part 6
We stopped in Broadford on the way back and had a wander over the bridge to the Memorial park - Ivy did NOT like the bridge!! Shes' so funny! Thought we were going to have to carry her!
This picture looks like a bridge to the sky...
We got a good view of the pretty wee road bridge from the other side of the water...
Lots of sunbathing seagulls...
The obligatory information board...
and of course, Daisy taking pictures for her blog at Rionnagan...
There is so much prettiness surrounding this park...
And then there is the beautiful memorial stone itself...
I had a wee look online to try and find some information on Calum Robertson, but struggled to find anything. I will need to ask the locals next time we visit...
How gorgeous is this place just to sit and reflect...
Then it all got a little bit "Alice in Wonderland"...Daisy disappeared into a hole...
...then there were some pretty magical fairy-tale adventure looking type stairs (or is that just my over-active imagination?)...
the nature and plants in this garden were just stunning...
love this "almost" raspberry just ready to pop...never seen anything like that before...
really pale thistles...
Scottish raspberries don't come much fresher than these...
A nice last stop for us on the beautiful Isle of Skye. We will most definitely be back. In the meantime we are heading back to the mainland for a drive up to Wester Ross (Badachro to be precise) to meet up with the rest of our family.
