The Road to Skye Day 3 Part 4
We arrived at Portree at about 12.15 however it was utterly mobbed, and we couldn't get parked anywhere. I think Daisy managed to get a picture of the multi-coloured "Tobermory" type houses as we drove by, which will no doubt appear on her blog at Rionnagan at some point!
We carried on driving continuing on the bottom loop heading back in the direction of Broadford & the Skye Bridge...I spotted this perfect row of wind turbines by the side of the road...
By 1pm we were both starving so parked up for the most amazing bacon & egg sandwiches ever - but some complete and utter fluke the eggs were double yokers and absolutely delicious (to be honest my mouth is watering right now as I'm thinking about them!)...
Bacon is one of Daisy's most favourite things so armed with a sharpie, and knowing we were going to see the rest of our family later on that day, we decided to have a little bit of "tattoo" fun!!!
The hills and scenery where we stopped were absolutely stunning...
...so Daisy decided she needed to get a better view. I have to admit that this next set of pictures are quite possibly my most favourite ever...
love these images so much - right down to the moody skies and the amazing view! A wee girl in a car driving past got her Dad to beep the horn and her wee face was so delighted when Daisy waved back from the roof! I think we made her day!
